Wallflowers
Between wall and paper,
I seem them on some days,
sequential blinking emblems,
a lifeless, limpid gaze.
I can hear them singing,
if I turn a certain way:
“Oh, to be remembered,
to live and to let be,
I see you, my double,
and Triumph! You see me!”
